About our cat boarding facility
The feline accommodations we have are entirely separate from the canine accommodations, so no need to worry about that. We have 9 large pens that are 32 square feet each. Some are vertical, some are horizontal. We try to reserve the horizontal pens for elderly cats so they don't have to jump to use different parts of their facility, where younger cats tend to enjoy this aspect. There is the ability to create one larger pen if there happens to be a family of cats visiting us. Please give advanced notice if this is of interest to you, to ensure availability.
Cat accommodation is indoors only to ensure that they are separated from the dogs, but they will be permitted to free roam in the cat facility at some point during the day.
Payment is expected upon retrieval of your pet. We accept credit, debit and cash. No cheques.
requirements
Our number one requirement is to have proof of vaccinations. This is for the safety of the staff and other animals on site, which is extremely important to us. You can get this from your veterinarians office.
We will also need an emergency contact number and/or email address that you can be reached at while you are away.
Things you need to bring for your cat
You will need to bring their food with you as changing the food of your pet suddenly usually results in digestive problems, such as stomach upset, and is an unnecessary stress to be added to them while they are already having to deal with being in a strange place. We strive to make this an easy and pleasant stay for them, and this is one thing that helps them immensely. We do keep other food on site in case of emergencies, and unforeseen events, but typically would prefer to use this as a last resort.
We also like to give them a treat at bed time to help them settle in for the night, so please bring their preferred brand of this as well.
It is preferred that they also have their own beds, toys and whatever else you think they may need during their stay.
We do provide litter boxes, and kitty litter, but if you prefer that your cat use their usual brand/boxes, then that is totally fine with us, and will work with you to accommodate this or any other special needs.
